PERMISSION TO TRANSPORT STUDENTS FORM If you will be driving a school district vehicle to transport students you are required to fill out this form. Bring copy of Drivers License, Auto Insurance and this form to the athletic office prior to transporting. FIRST AID / CPR All coaches must provide copies of current documentation. Cards may not expire during the season. Frequently Asked Questions

Can I hold a practice on a Sunday? The answer is NO. The WIAA does not allow for Sunday practices or events unless you have School Board Approval. The WSD does not support middle schools having Saturday practices or contests unless it is needed. You should have Athleticd Department approval for any Saturday activity for Middle School.
When I have an athlete that is ineligible due to grades, and she brings me a note from the teacher, can I let the athlete play? The answer is NO. Academic eligiblity resides in the athletic office for high school athletes. The athlete will need to get AD approval.
I want to have a manager, what does he/she have to do to be "cleared"? Managers have to follow the same eligibility requirments of a regular athlete: sports physical, ASB card, sport fee and clearance paperwork. This is for liability purposes. The managers will be included on your list of kids and his/her grades will be monitored and must be maintained just as an athlete would.
When can I meet with my team during the off season? WIAA Rule 17.5.7 states: A coach may have one organizational meeting with the incoming freshman at each middle school for students who are enrolled in the middle school whose attendance area is within the high school's attendance area and one meeting with the squad prior to the opening day of practice to issue equipment and to explain to the participants such issues as insurance, physical examinations, season's plans, training regulations and any other pertinent informatin deemed necessary by the coach. A. This restriction does not apply to fundraising activities unless the fundraising activities include skills that are specific to the sport being coached. Fundraising activities are subject to the approval and rules of the participating school districts and/or ASB's. B. Organization and implementation of the wrestling weight management program is not considered to be the one organizational meeting.
