PURPOSE - The purpose of a Panther parent is to support all Panther athletes in their attempt to be their best. Make sure your athlete understands that win or lose, you love him/her. Don't relive your own athletic past through your student-athlete. RESPECT - Treat the opponents, coaches, players and officials with respect. Control your emotions at games and events. IMPROVEMENT - Find improvment in the program and your athlete each and every day. Searching for and sharing the good can make the ride home enjoyable. Be realistic about your student-athletes ability. Help them set realistic goals. DISCIPLINE - The KEY!!! Trust the adults in your athlete's life. Trust yourself to let him/her grow into a young adult. Refrain from talking bad about a coach, player or program. Don't coach him/her during halftime or after the game. Support, encourage and find the good! It takes discipline. Be a positive role model. Be sensible, responsible and keep your priorities in order!! EXCELLENCE - WE CAN ACHIEVE this!!!
