This week we'll be reviewing vocabulary about environmental protection, the conditional tense (could/would should do) and reviewing the uses of por and para.
Oral finals testing will take place during class this week and next week.

Week of April 16-20 WASL Testing and Culminating Project Lessons
This week we'll be learning about Spanish culture and history via two excellent programs.
Monday - Go over test results and complete remediation practice, read vocabulary list for "The Soul of Spain"
Tuesday & Wednesday - Watch the National Geographic film, "The Soul of Spain," read vocabulary list for "The Virgin and the Bull."
Thursday & Friday - Watch volume I in The Buried Mirror series, "The Virgin and the Bull." Remediation work due.
Due to the WASL schedule, each class meets three times this week.
Week of April 9-13
This week we'll be reviewing the stem-changing forms of subjunctive mood and prepositions of place, and learning how to give directions, as well as vocabulary related to towns and cities.
Monday - Review of stem-changing subjunctive verb forms, write one sentence using each of the 20 stem-changing verbs in your chart, rotate subjects and beginnings
Tuesday - Review commands and prepositions, small groups create maps of Wenatchee and write directions
Wednesday - Finish and share maps, follow each others' directions, verb review game, study chapter vocabulary
Thursday - Reading practice, play spoons with verbs, Vocab quiz, review for chapter exam
Friday - Chapter exam, end of third quarter
Week of March 26 - 30
This week we'll be introducing the stem-changing forms of subjunctive mood, learning prepositions of place and how to give directions, as well as vocabulary related to towns and cities.

This week we'll be learning hotel and travel vocabulary, reviewing irregular subjunctive, and learning to use subjunctive forms when expressing hopes and wishes.

Week of March 12 - 16 WASL WEEK #1
This week we'll be watching the Spanish version of "Beauty and the Beast/Bella y la Bestia" in order to practice recognizing the
difference between preterite and imperfect tenses. There will be a packet of work to accompany the movie that is for extra credit. Students who
are currently failing will work to make up and retake all missed work and will not participate in regular class activities.

Unidad 3, Etapa 3: This week we'll be reviewing body parts, medical terms vocabulary, and time
expressions with the verb "hacer." We'll be introducing use of the subjunctive mood with impersonal expressions.

expressions with the verb "hacer." For example: I've been studying Spanish for two years. I went to Mexico two years ago.
