Welcome to American Studies: Literature
In this class we will explore American Literature in a historical context. We will study the major literary movements and take a look at some historical documents.
Our goal is to look at what it means to be an American and what it has meant to be an American throughout the nation's history.
We will be building upon the critical thinking, writing, speaking, and reading skills that were introduced in Freshman and Sophomore English. This class is two semesters long and meets both WHS's American Literature and Jr. Speech requirements.
