Earning the following minimum scores will count as meeting standard on the HSPE  :


        Mathematics:  SAT:  470     ACT:  19

        Reading:         SAT:  350     ACT:  13

        Writing:          SAT:  380     ACT:  15


Also, earning at least a 3 on the following AP tests will count as meeting standard on the HSPE.  The following are the tests available via classes at WHS.  For a more complete list, click here. 


Math: Statistics & Calculus


Reading:  English Literature & Composition and US History


Writing:  English Language & Composition (via Sophomores Honors English or American Survey)   


Once you’ve earned the above cut score, give Mr. Lenard a copy of your score report and fill out a Score Verification form.  Your information will then be faxed to OSPI for approval. 

Students who have made at least one valid attempt at the HSPE (WASL) can use scores from the SAT, ACT, or certain AP tests.
