Patricia
Devereaux
job-shares the librarian position at WHS. She is found
in the WHS library every Wednesday through Friday. Mrs.
Devereaux's role as librarian covers a variety of responsibilities
which include: teaching research skills, assisting students
and teachers with research projects, maintaining the library
collection, overseeing the library/media budget, and promoting
reading.
She received her B.A. from
Northwest Nazarene College in Idaho. Her library science
courses were completed at Eastern Washington University.
In her spare time she likes
to travel, backpack, garden, bake, spend time with her
husband and two daughters, and READ.
Her favorite books include
the Bible, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and
My Life in Dog Years. Mystery is her favorite genre. E-mail

Michelle
Blackburn is new
to the Wenatchee area and to the WHS library. She was hired
in September 2007 to job-share the role of librarian with
Patricia Devereaux. She moved here last year with her husband
and three children: Rachel, age 7; Jacob, age 4; and Katelyn,
age 1. She can be found in the library on Mondays and Tuesdays
working diligently to teach students how to search for information
and correctly cite sources.
In 1998, Michelle earned her BA from Eastern Washington
University with an emphasis in Social Studies and secondary
English, and she received her Master’s degree from
Central Washington University in 2006.
Michelle has many hobbies, which include: scrap booking,
quilting, cooking/baking, reading, and taking care of and
spending time with her family.
Her favorite books include: The Harry Potter series, The
Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series, and The Iceberg
Hermit.
Her favorite authors include: Julie Garwood, James Patterson,
Danielle Steel, Gail Carson Levine, Sue Grafton, Michael
Crichton, and Janet Evanovich.

Mary
Yowis the WHS Library secretary Tuesday through
Friday. She volunteered in the library for three years
before taking the position of secretary. Mrs. Yow’s
duties include: checking out and in library materials,
superving student workers, and assists students and faculty
who are doing research or finding a good book.
Mrs. Yow and her husband and two sons moved to Wenatchee
in 1998 from Littleton, Colorado, where she worked at
the Denver Public Library for five years. her interests
include books, DOGS, sewing, crocheting, and desserts.
Some of her favorite authors are C.S. Lewis, Diane Mott
Davidson, Dorthy Gilman, P.G. Wodehouse and Dave Barry.

Connie
Burnham welcomed
the chance to work in the WHS library after volunteering
there for a year. She
currently job shares with Mrs. Yow, helping with library
duties.
After receiving her BA from the UW she worked in Human
Resources for the Federal Government for a number of years
while she and her husband moved around the country several
times. More recently she has enjoyed volunteering at her
children’s schools, participating in her church
activities, gardening and traveling. She loves to read
all kinds of materials, including the newspaper, even
the sports page, biographies, books about historical events
and far distant countries to visit some day.
Mrs. Burnham has 2 children attending WHS this year, Emily
and Danny, and enjoys participating in their activities.

Kim
Blair is the WHS Library Media
secretary. Before coming to WHS she worked a variety of
jobs at Lewis and Clark Elementary for 12 years.
She recieved her BA in Family and Consurmer Studies from
Central Washington University. She and her husband Dale
Blair: a WHS teacher and Panther Athletic trainer, have
two daughters Anna and Katie who are WHS Alumni.
Kim loves to travel, camp, read, do crafts such as tole
painting and jewelry making. Her favorite thing in the world
is spending time with her family, including her dog and
cat. She enjoys reading fiction books and collecting and
reading Christmas story books, cookbooks, gardening and
