We are a Mexican Folkloric Dance Group that has been performing around the Pacific Northwest and around the country since 1972. We practice on the campus of the University of Washington in Seattle, and at the South Park Community Center in South Seattle. Our members range in age from 15 to 50? and come from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Our repertoire consists of dances from many states/regions of Mexico. The most easily recognized dances are from the states of Jalisco and Veracruz. We are always looking for new members.

Bailadores de Bronce was established at the campus of the University of Washington in 1972.  Its mission, then and now, is to share Mexican traditions, music and dance with the Pacific Northwest communities.  Bailadores de Bronce is a non-profit corporation where members volunteer their time and talents to promote the richness of the Mexican culture.

Bailadores de Bronce is proud to have performed for people of all backgrounds and at various locations, including; Sun Valley, Idaho, the Western Regional Cultural Fair in Vancouver, BC, the 1986 World's Fair, Anchorage Alaska's Travel Show and the Kimberley Folk Dance Festival in Southeast British Columbia. The group frequently performs for colleges and universities, church groups, organizational conferences, private engagements and benefit shows.

In order to enhance their knowledge and skills, Bailadores de Bronce participates in annual Mexican Folk Dance Conferences around the US and Mexico.  Most recently, the group has attended the Danzantes Unidos Festival, the Tucson Mariachi Festival, the Las Cruces Mariachi Conference and the Mariachi Nortwest Festival.  Bailadores has also participated at ANGF (Asociacion Nacional de Grupos Folkloricos) Conferences.  In fact, Bailadores de Bronce hosted an annual ANGF Conference in the early 1970's.
