Work History

I have worked as a courtesy/produce clerk for Safeway, a laborer in a plywood mill. I was in the U.S.Navy as a hospital corpsman assigned to the U.S. Marine Corpsman as a field Medical Technician after my tour in Vietnam I had more Military Schooling and was an operating room technician Where I worked in neurosurgery.I have worked as a boiler operator for Idaho:I have owned my own cattle ranch,in Moses lake where I took car of 150 cows and caves, raised hay and corn silage. Additionally, I worked as a diesel.&.hydraulics service mechanic for a Company in Poland,Oregon. And lastly,I have worked as a Special Education teacher here at the Wenatchee High school since the summer of 1993. And I teach the Work-Basted-Learning(WBL).

 

Program:

The purpose of the third and fourth year vocational preparation and work base learning program is to help students develop career occupational acquisition and retention skills. Students learn how to develop the skills needed to succeed and maintain success at "real world" work-site-positions in the community,for both now and in the future. The contents and objectives of student's in school education are designed to meet current best-practices, are researched based, and meet least restrictive environment guidelines for student's Individualized Education (I.E.P.)program needs. Each day's lesson, Activity,discussion, and or reflection is specifically aimed at helping students navigate through the many obstacles that can hider success at a work-site.

My Philosophy for Students

The vocational preparation work based learning program was develop to help students adjust to the new ways work its being done. For the students just entering the workplace, learning the techniques and concepts presented in class and applied in the real world contexts
