Student Expectations and Behavior Contract

1-BE on time.  The door will be locked at all times.  When the light goes off, the door is shut and if you are not inside, you are late. If you arrive less than 10 minutes late, it is a tardy.  More than that and you are absent.  Capeesh?   

2-NO talking out of turn, throwing things, being rude to other students or teacher, use of profanity, leaving classroom without permission, and any other guidelines given in class.  These behaviors are treated with a student conference on the first offense.  The second offense is a parent call or conference along with any other fitting consequence.  The third offense is a referral to administration and you WILL be sent home.

3-NO FOOD/DRINK!  Water in a clear bottle is an exception.  Anything else will be taken immediately.  There will be days when permission is given from the teacher to eat or drink.  This is the only exception.

4-NO cell phones, headphones, CD players, Ipods, yadda yadda yadda.  They will be confiscated immediately.

5-Behaviors that will result in an automatic referral and expulsion:  violence, cheating, defiance, drug or alcohol use, possession of a weapon.  SEE Student Handbook.

6-No Late work will be accepted.  If and only if you have an EXCUSED absence, you may have the number of days you missed plus one to make up work you missed.  If it is not excused, you will receive a zero.

7-You have 3 hall passes per semester.  No more, no less.  If you choose not to use them, they are refundable at the end of the semester for 5 extra credit points a piece.
