Project: Water Quality in Puget Sound

Contact Name: Sara Saverud

School: Tahoma Junior High(Ravensdale)

Date Completed: Fall 2009

Sitting in front of a projected title, three students read over their notes on the problems with water quality in Puget Sound. They had conducted a survey in their school to see how many students still fished or swam in the sound, and went over their results, concluding that many students don't know the problems with poor water quality. At two points in the presentation, they showed commercial video clips about Puget Sound and clean water. They showed some slides with maps and information onto a screen behind them, which made it very easy to read. Several possible solutions as to how to inform people about the water quality problems were offered. There was a nice variety of presentation method, all of which were effective.
