Project: Landfill and Its Effect On the Environment

Details: Two students sat at a table and described the problems with a local landfill and its effect on the environment, especially the water supply (aquifer) for much of Tacoma. They included a map of the area, a diagram of the landfill and photos of the landfill, which were all clearly seen during their presentation. The students discussed their conversations with their state senator and a county official regarding the issues around the landfill. They concluded with pointing out a stack of garbage and a collection of glasses of clean water and asked which would be better for human health.
