Everyday Essentials

  • Be in class on time. Tardiness may affect your grade.
  • Come prepared with materials: paper, pencils, pens (black or dark blue ink), homework, and book(s).
  • Be prepared emotionally to learn. Do not interfere with instruction or other student’s learning.
  • Treat desks, books, computers, and all other classroom objects with respect. These items belong to WHS or to Mr. Zobel.
  • Assignments have due dates. One day late receives a 20% reduction, and work turned in after that is not counted.
  • Tests are given on specific announced dates. Make-ups are done by appointment with Mr. Zobel before or after school in a timely manner (2-3 days).
  • All WHS standards (see Planner) are enforced, including (but not limited to) the following items:
  •   No personal electronic devices (radios, telephones, games, etc.) are acceptable.
  •   No food and drink other than plain water, and not near the computers in the classroom.
  •   Come appropriately dressed.

Classroom Management

Students are responsible to maintain a positive learning environment for themselves and others within the classroom. preparation for class begins with each student bringing their own resources: see "Everyday Essentials" above.

A Referral means that the student will have to explain to an Assistant Principal why he/she insists on disturbing the classroom learning environment.

Absences and Tardies

Students are responsible to follow the WHS Attendance Policy. The policy is found on pages 6 through 8 in the student Planner.

Progress Reports

Mr. Zobel posts grades to the school website on a regular basis and periodically in the classroom. Printed progress reports will be provided to students or parents/guardians upon request (see Parent’s Page).
