Creating Local Groups
A local group is a group of people that you want to send an e-mail to all at the same time and not have to type in or find all of the names. The biggest idea to remember for local groups is to drag and drop the names into the group window.
1. From the File Menu choose New and then Local Group. The following window appears:
Type in the name of the new group, for example Science Department. Now members must be added to the group. Select Address Books from the Configure Menu. Choose the Address Book that the names appear in. You will have two windows open, the new local group window and the address book window. From the address book window click and drag a person you want in the group to the group window and let go. That name should appear in the Members box in the local group window.
Once all of the members of the group have been put into the group close the Local Group window and click which address book you want the group to be in, for example your main address book, then click Save.
You are now able to create local address books and local groups. If you have any problems or suggestions please contact your local TRT.
