Workshops on Demand

What it is...

  • 3-12 participants (1 facilitator per 6)
  • 1-3 hours
    • if 3 hours, then you may receive 3 free clock hours
  • receive curriculum pay per each workshop hour
  • after school or Saturday workshops
  • dates will be determined participants and facilitator(s)

Facilitators for these workshops will be TRT's or anyone on staff who would like to participate. Both the facilitator and participants will be compensated for the 1-3 hours of workshop time.

We expect the facilitators to be more of "Team Leader" than software/hardware experts. They will prep the course on their own time as needed.  Most resources will be avaliable on the Omni Help Desk or on the WSD Instructional Technology web sites.

Protocol :

  1. Gather 2 to 11 others similarly interested in your workshop topic
  2. select a facilitator for your workshop for your workshop
  3. suggest time and date
  4. suggest a location

  • Day of the week (Mon-Sat) preference
  • Level of complexity
    • basic (standard introductory hands-on experience)
      •  Example: Powerpoint.  What it is and what it does.  Create a very simple presentation.
    • intermediate (application of basic experience)
      • Example: Powerpoint.  Create a presentation for your classroom to deliver course content.
    • advanced (peer exploratory and problem solving)
      • Example: Powerpoint.  Utilize advance features such as multimedia input, student projects, or develop an entire course unit via multiple presentations.
