Using a Floppy Disk to Transfer a Gradebook
1
Insert a floppy disk it into the computer. If you will be transferring the gradebook to a Windows computer, make sure that you are using a PC-formatted floppy disk even if the gradebook is being transferred from a Macintosh.
2

Copy the gradebook to the floppy disk.

Windows: Right-click on the gradebook's icon and choose Copy. Right-click on the A-drive icon and choose Paste.

Macintosh: Drag the gradebook's icon to the icon of the floppy disk.

3

Eject the floppy disk and insert it into the other computer's drive.

4

Copy the gradebook from the floppy disk.

Windows: Double-click on the A-drive's icon to open a window to the floppy disk. Right-click on the gradebook's icon and choose Copy. Right-click on the folder on the hard drive to receive the gradebook or right-click on an empty place on the Desktop and choose Paste.

Macintosh: Double-click on the icon of the floppy disk. Drag the icon of the gradebook to the folder on the hard drive to receive the gradebook. On a Macintosh computer prior to OS X, do not drag the gradebook to the Desktop because the Desktop belongs to all disks, including the floppy disk.

5
Eject the floppy disk.
6
To start your gradebook, find its icon on the Desktop or in the folder and double-click on it. This will ensure that you are opening the right gradebook. If this doesn't work, start Easy Grade Pro directly. If the wrong gradebook opens, choose Close from the File menu. Then click the Open an Existing Gradebook button and open the gradebook. On OSX, you can control-click on the gradebook's icon and, from the menu that pops up, choose to open your gradebook using Easy Grade Pro. Then double-click on it.
