Exporting a Class List from Easy Grade Pro to Microsoft Excel

Courtesy of Logan Aimone

Here is how you can get names from Easy Grade Pro to the MS Excel spreadsheets we are using for our standardized assessment reports.

1. In Easy Grade Pro, go to FILE > EXPORT

2. Select the tab that reads "Other formats"

3. The only choice on the left should be student names. If there are other choices, select only student names.

4. On the right, select the classes you wish to export. I would suggest one at a time.

5. Easy Grade Pro will create a text file. Make sure you tell the computer where to save that. I just save to my desktop and delete later.

6. Open the text file in Text Edit.

7. Select the names by highlighting or choosing EDIT > SELECT ALL
(Command-A)

8. EDIT > COPY (Command-C) the student names.

9. Open the MS Excel spreadsheet.

10. Select the cells where the names will appear, name lines 1-28, for example.

11. EDIT > PASTE (Command-V) the student names.

The names should appear each on one line.

Happy scoring!
