LAST, BUT NOT LEAST ! (9)
Before mailing off your application packet for either scholarships or admissions, check and double check the items that you are placing in the mailing!! Most applications will be discarded and not considered if items are missing! Remember the checklist? Now is the time to check it, before mailing!
A GIFT FROM A STRANGER....and others!
If a stranger were to walk up to you and give you a sum of money, you probably would say "Thank You" to them.
A scholarship is also a gift from a stranger! You are encouraged to "Thank" them as well, by writing them a personal note. It is suggested that you keep a copy of the address of each of the scholaships that you are applying for, for that purpose. If you should be awarded the scholarship, you can then jot that note to them. They have been generous to you, please remember to take a moment to let them know that their efforts were appreciated. If you did not save the address, please come to the Career Center to obtain the address from Mrs. Parks.

It is always appropriate to send "Thank You" notes to your recommendation letter-writers as well. They have assisted you in your endeavors to obtain a scholarship. This took time from their daily work and helped you! Please jot them a note as well!
