Biographical Speech

 

Objective:             The student will effectively introduce themselves to the class in a speech-like format using a first person or third person approach.

 

          First Person:          Speaking about yourself using “I”.

Third Person:         Speaking about yourself as if you were someone else using he/she.

 

Requirements:        The speech must be at least two and a half minutes long. Use note cards and the Snyder system if anything.

Use nonverbal communication devices, especially eye contact

Creativity is a must  when relating facts to the class about oneself.

* Please fill out the worksheet, but do not rely on this or use this as your speech in any way, shape, or form in your speech.  Spice up your presentation with pictures, visuals, stories, personal experiences, and interesting facts.  Be enthusiastic and be sure to turn in your worksheet at the time of your speech.

 

 

Also, do not answer the questions directly in your speech.  We are looking for speeches that flow well and are well written.  The questions are designed to start the thinking process and give you ideas to begin with.
