Propaganda Final-Notebook

 

 You will be responsible for a final notebook to be turned a week before the final for this period.  The final notebook for this class is due  ________  20__ .  You will turn in the notebooks to be graded, and then give a short speech over the notebook.  For the speech you will briefly explain what Propaganda means to you and discuss the first six techniques that you covered in your notebook.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  1. A bound, labeled notebook with your name & date

  2. A title page (title, name, date, class, teacher)

  3. A seperate page for your personal definition of Propaganda  -written neatly or typed (min 1/2 page and max 1 page)

  4. Fifteen examples of various propaganda techniques

1.  These must include a detail definition of the technique and how your example precisely fits into the category.

          2.  Needs to be typed or written as neatly as possible

5. A page “about the author”’

6. Reality page - a page about how you could possibly use the knowledge that you have gained in this class. Where might this information come in handy after high school.

 

 

GRADING-

          1. Notebook as whole (i.e. neatness,effort, looks) - 20 points

          2. Propaganda Definition - 10 points

          3. Each of the 15 techniques  - 10 points  = 150 points

          4. Author page - 10 points

          5. Reality page - 10 points

                                                                   = Total 200 points

 

 

 

SPEECH - Presentation of Notebook

 

This is a quick speech to show off your nonverbal skills and to present a completely memorized informational speech.

 

You need to...

        1.  explain your definition of propaganda

        2. explain the first six propaganda techniques and how your          example fits into this category.

        3. explain your reality page.

        4. memorize your presentation.

 

GRADING

Nonverbal communication - (enthusiasm, eye contact, energy, voice)     

        Smoothness, Quality, Preparation
